Food Friday: Home-Made Granola.
I love food, let's be honest. There are hundreds of recipes for home-made granola on the internet, but I think I may have found the easiest recipe in human history. With this recipe, I'm kicking off a new series on my blog: Food Friday! Getting hangry? Let's bake!
What do you need?
- 100 grams of nuts (almonds, cashews,...)
- 100 grams of oats
- A few tablespoons of chia seeds
- 30 ml of agave syrup/ honey
How?
- Preheat the oven at 175°C. Prepare one baking tray by laying down one sheet of greaseproof paper, the same size as your baking tray.
- Make the nuts a little smaller. This doesn't have to be perfect, it's actually really tasty if the nuts have a few different sizes.
- Add the nuts, the oats en the chia seeds into a big bowl.
- With a spatula, add your agave syrup or honey - you can even use both! Do this in different stages, so you can mix it very well. Continue to add agave syrup/ honey until everything is coated nicely and sticks together a little bit.
- Spread the mixture onto the baking tray, evenly.
- Put the mixture in the oven at 175°C, for about 10 minutes. Keep checking it. Your mixture should get a golden-brown color, if it gets to dark, it won't be very tasty anymore.
- Take the mixture out of the oven and let it cool down for about an hour. When it's completely cooled down, present it in a nice bowl or storage pot.
I eat this granola every single day with some yoghurt and fruit and to be completely honest, I munch on it during the day as well when I get a little hungry. Enjoy!
